Lake Manassas is a deep, clear wooded lake where dozens of varieties of freshwater fish challenge both the serious and amateur fisherman. Sailing, canoeing, and picnicking compliment a full day of fishing, making Lake Manassas enjoyable for everyone. Access to the Lake will be gained through a Marina where the whole family can fish, picnic, or just relax by the water.  Plans are still being made for the Marina.

Some Facts About Lake Manassas:

  • The Lake was created in 1969 by damming Broad Run.
  • The Lake serves as the primary water supply for the city of Manassas.
  • To protect the fish species and water supply, the Lake is reserved for electric motor use only.
  • There is over 22 miles of shoreline.
  • The deepest spot, located near Nelson Dam, is 70 feet.
  • The average depth of the lake is 16.2 feet.
